Several Wholesale Fashion Items are At Your Fingertips

Wholesale fashion has reached its peak. Never in history have buyers been able to find virtually every single item of clothing at wholesale fashion shops. Here is a compilation of the five most common things that can be readily obtained wholesale.

Blue Jeans! The ubiquitous outfit of every teen, child, grown-up, everyone! Jeans come in so manystyles that wholesale fashion merchandisers are hard-pressed to stay ahead of the curve. Let's look at just the variety: you can choose boot cut, relaxed, skinny, low risers, the list goes on and on. And the colors? black, gray, stone washed blue, vintage - it never stops! And name brands? Juicy Couture, Calvin Klein Red Monkey, every toop name brand jean.

Gentlemen's jackets. Long reputed to be super buys, men's hand crafted sports jackets are featured on wholesale fashion stores at prices that can't be beat. The thought of finding a sports jacket that fits exactly right in cuff, midsection and collar and made in the cloth and the color he is looking for, like gray or charcoal, is one of the great ideas of wholesaling!

Shoes. Shoes are one of the hardest product to order because fit is so individual and iffy to estimate. But nonetheless, footwear is eagerly ordered from women's heels to men's deck shoes to babies' shoes. It is especially important, if buying online, to check the fit and size charts and the merchant's return policy so that any mistaken sizes can be quickly taken care of by a return shipment. It is an acceptable potential problem because the array of merchandise is so plentiful!

Larger than average. The most neglected females in the fashion world may be plus size buyers. Long condemned to making the effort to locate clothes that fit at discount shops or used shops, she has at last been taken into account by the wholesale fashion world. It has delivered not poorly constructed styles, but instead name brand clothes and stylish numbers that even her tiniest female BFF would envy. Exercise clothes, including swimsuits and walking shoes have also come into their own in the arena of plus sizes.

Extras. Accessories like purses, headwear and leather belts are a crucial part of any wardrobe, working woman's look, or full time homemaker's outfits. Not to worry - terrific items are all available from wholesale fashion stores!

Wholesale fashion shopping is a delight!

Sterling silver Chain

How to Choose the Right Snake Chain for Your Pendant?

Choosing the right chain for your pendant could be a difficult task. There are many things that must be kept in mind before buying a chain for such purpose. For example, its length, thickness, strength, and color could be some of the important factors. One of the most common and favorite choices of people worldwide is a snake chain. Usually, people prefer to buy beautiful and delicate snake chains for their pendants. Here are a few things that you must consider before buying a chain.
Quality of Metal
Snake chains can be found in various metals such as gold, silver, copper, bronze, etc. You must choose the appropriate metal for the chain depending upon the material used in the pendant, its color and most importantly the response of your body to the metal. There might be some metals that can lead to allergy or any other skin reactions. Mostly people prefer to go for sterling silver snake chains as their bright color tends to accentuate the beauty of the pendant and they are mostly harmless for the skin.
Weight
Another important factor to look for is the weight of the chain. If your pendant is very light then a delicate chain would be the best option, but if your pendant is heavy and bold then you must buy a chain heavy enough to carry the weight of the pendant.
Thickness
It is believed that the thickness of the chain is directly proportional to the weight of the pendant. If the pendant is light then the thickness of the chain could be very less as compared to the one carrying a heavy pendant.
Color
Snake chains are available in many colors of metals. The color of the pendant must help you in deciding the color of the chain. While with most of the metal pendants, sterling silver chains would go perfectly but, for other pendants you can choose from a wide variety of options at hand.
Snake chains can add beauty and grace to your pendant. Their intricate designs, colors and length can make any outfit look glamorous and trendy. Where short and delicate snake chains give an utterly graceful and sophisticated appearance long and bold snake chains, on the other hands, give an equally urban and young look. You can team up these chains with small or big pendants depending upon your style, preference, personality and the occasion without worrying about looking old-fashioned or dull.

Fashion Week 2011

Trina Turk Spring 2011 - Beachy Accessories

At the Trina Turk Spring 2011 show at Fashion Week, there was something for everyone -- a white jumpsuit, a hot pink lace cocktail dress and retro print maxi dresses. This collection, called "Palm Springs Eternal," offered fabulous colors -- yellow, turquoise, avocado green, cotton candy pink and many other wonderful hues.

Accessories included large brim beach hats, bright tote bags, patent platform sandals, rope belts, and aviator sunglasses. The jewelry was nice too, including coral necklaces and rings. Unlike many of the other collections, Trina Turk's clothes are very wearable for average (yet fashionable) Janes like us.

Charlotte Ronson Spring 2011 - Socks & Sandals

Olive is a hot color for fall, and Charlotte Ronson also used it in spring collection in the form of a long, straight dress. With a hemline below the knee and simple belt, this dress could be seen as drab. However, adding the head scarf along with the pushed-down knee socks and sandals made it interesting. Socks with sandals is something we are seeing a lot this fall, and it looks like some designers are making it a year-round trend.

I'm on the fence about Charlotte Ronson every season. However, I did like some of the sheer skirts, dresses and camis that the models wore on the runway at Spring 2011 Fashion Week. Of course in real life, you'd have to layer them in order to avoid overexposure.

Nicole Miller Spring 2011 - Fabulous Shoes

At the Nicole Miller show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York, the designer did a fabulous job combining airy fabrics with an edgy vibe. She used silk chiffon and lots of sheers that were layered beautifully.
And though I thought many of the dresses were amazing and very wearable, I couldn't keep my eyes off the shoes.
The models strutted on the runway in open-toe booties with banded ankles and high heels. These shoes can be worn all year long if paired with the right outfit.
Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2011 - Printed Totes

Instead of outfit after outfit that all look the same, I love it when the designers put together a mishmash of fabulous pieces, even if they sometimes don't follow a universal theme.
Always a personal favorite of mine, Diane von Furstenberg didn't disappoint with fabulous geometric prints, bold colors, and beautiful fabrics.

Wrap dresses, jumpsuits, print shorts and comfortable pants were accessorized with strappy sandals, sophisticated fanny packs, terrific tote bags, and old school, round bug-eyed sunglasses.
I loved the handbags at this show -- they were bold, colorful and fun!

Coloring your hair at home

Every woman strives to look her best. She chooses clothes that compliment her shape. She wears cosmetics that enhance her natural beauty. She sometimes even makes slight changes that will enhance her appearance. One of the most common is changing hair color.
Coloring hair not only helps a woman reflect who she feels she is inside, but it can also add a little bit of volume and texture to fine, limp or lifeless hair. For blondes and redheads in particular, it also imparts the shine that not all shades naturally possess.
While hair coloring at home may seem easy and completely innocent, everything isn't necessarily as it seems on the surface. There are as many reasons not to color hair as there are to do it. That is why it is important to understand those negatives before making the decision to color.
There are things every woman must take into consideration before coloring her hair. The first is the condition of the hair. Hair that has been recently chemically treated might not accept color well or result in severe damage. Hair that is already full of chemicals could also have an unexpected reaction when adding new ones into the mix. It is therefore best to wait a few weeks between different chemical processes like relaxing or perming and hair color. Hair that is already damaged doesn't need the additional stress; take time to repair the existing damage through deep conditioning before taking the risk of causing more.
The next consideration is a woman's skin tone and coloring. While her heart may say she is a platinum blonde, her olive toned skin and dark eyes may say differently - not every color looks good on every person. The trick is to choose a shade that works in conjunction with what Mother Nature already delivered. The good news is that most women can go any color they desire if they find the right shade, which I'll talk about later in this article.
It is also imperative to think about the level of color change desired. Home hair dyes are predominantly made for mild changes that only go up or down one to three shades. A woman who is blonde looking to go black or vice versa, should employ the services of a professional in making such a drastic transition. That kind of hair color change isn't possible with perfect results when it comes to home hair dyes. To achieve it, one would have to pile layer upon layer over the hair or bleach it out completely. That can cause irreversible damage so it is best not to even go there.
It is equally important to make sure the color change will be as desired. Even if it seems like a simple transition from strawberry blonde to dark brown, the shade chosen must be sheer perfection. After all, it will be a long time before those locks shine red again. The best way to choose the right shade is to try on different wigs within the desired color family. For example, I often long to take my light red locks a bit darker in color. However, being an older woman I am also aware that going too vibrant a red will look fake and make me unhappy over the long haul. By trying on wigs, I am able to zero in on the shade of red that looks natural as well as fulfills my every fantasy. It will also let me know whether or not a home dye job is feasible or if I need to save my pennies to get it done professionally.
Never rely on the color noted on the dye box. Hair will always come out darker than the color noted by two or three shades in the red and brunette categories and by at least one shade in the blondes. If hair swatches are available for viewing, go by those instead. They offer a closer representation of the color that can be expected. In the long run, those wanting to achieve a very precise color, should always seek out a professional instead of trying to do the job at home.
Avoid allergic reactions to hair dye by trying it out somewhere on the body before applying it all over the head. Each hair dye provides instructions for doing the allergy test. It is imperative to take the time to follow them in order to avoid what could end up being a life-threatening situation.
Always do the strand test when trying out a new color. There is no guarantee the hair will accept the color exactly as noted in the color swatches, so it is best to see the exact color results first hand. The process is easy. Just cut a few strands of hair from an area of the head where it won't be noticed. Tape one end of the strands together so they will not separate while coloring. Then carefully follow the color instructions from start to finish. Once the completed dye job has dried, it shows an accurate representation of the color results.
Some people like to mix different hair colors together to create a new personalized shade. I don't think this is a good idea for someone to do at home; those seeking a personalized shade should invest the money to have a professional do the job correctly.
When it is time to cover the roots, it isn't necessary to repeat a complete hair coloring. That will over-process the ends of the hair, drying them out and causing damage. Instead, simply follow the root application instructions provided along with the dye for a perfect rebirth of the desired color.
Women who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid dying their hair at home or otherwise. Scientific studies indicate there could be a link between the chemicals of hair dye and certain types of birth defects. It is best not to take the chance.
Always consider dyes that do not contain ammonia and that have a shorter processing time. Avoiding harsh and over-processing can help retain your hair's natural beauty.

Different hair styling products and how they work

There are lots of different hairstyling products to choose from in today's retail market. However, it can be difficult deciding which one is right for you. Let's take a look at what a person needs to know about choosing a styling product and the various types that are readily available; in doing so, we just might uncover the product that will work best for you.
The first thing you must know when looking for a styling product is what type of hair you have. Is it fine or coarse? Is it thick or thin? Does it have texture and body or tend to lie flat and lifeless?
The next thing you must do is look at your hairstyle. Is it short or long? Is it curly, wavy or straight?
Finally, identify the style you want to achieve. Do you want volume or texture? Do you want to increase shine? Do you want to enhance your hair's color? All of these questions must be answered in order to help you identify the perfect styling product.
When it comes to fine hair, styling really begins with the shampoo and conditioner. Fine, limp hair cannot tolerate heavy products that will further weigh it down. Instead, always look for products that are weightless or light in nature. Many will be specifically labeled "for fine or limp hair", and an oil-free variety often works best. Pay attention while shampooing. Apply the cleanser to the roots of the hair and work outward to the ends. In conditioning, go the opposite direction. Apply the condition to the ends only. Applying it at the roots will simply weigh down the hair.
Mousse is a great styling option for fine hair. It comes in various lightweight formulations that can thicken or volumize. Because it is less likely to weigh it down, hair will automatically look like it has more bounce and volume. Best of all, mousse can be applied either wet or dry with equally good results. To complete the style perfectly, finish it with a volumizing hairspray.
Coarse or thick hair often feels rough or looks frizzy or wiry in nature. Look for hair products that contain moisturizing or hydrating properties as well as "anti-frizz" ingredients. Be sure to always shampoo hair thoroughly and use a rinse-out condition with long-lasting hydration properties.
When it comes to styling coarse or thick hair, balms, pastes, pomades and waxes often due the best job. They work beautifully to help tame out of control hair texture as well as provide a semblance of manageability. Most of them can also be applied while the hair is dry or wet. As a bonus, many of these types of styling products help block humidity to keep the hair from frizzing more when the weather or environmental conditions are less that stellar. Use a hairspray with anti-humidity properties to keep the style looking fresh all day. Short hair can be a blessing or a curse, depending on the haircut and the type of hair involved.
For medium short hair, texture is often important, which is why pomades, creams, waxes, and balms can come in handy. Use a root-lifting product to add volume and achieve a polished final look with a good finishing spray. Very short hair can be more difficult. It may take more time to style than long hair because it takes a lot of hair styling product to get it right; this is where freezing sprays and spiking glues can come in handy. They literally allow one to place the hair as desired and "glue" it into place.
Curly or wavy hair offers its own unique challenges. Like coarse hair, it can frizz easily or become wiry. The key here is to use styling products that help define the positive aspects of the hair while minimizing the negative. Always begin with a shampoo and conditioner made especially for curly/wavy hair; those that contain sebum or other natural fatty acids add the extra nourishment needed for African-American hair of this texture. Often a leave-in conditioner works better than one that you wash away. If the hair is also very thick, a good detangler can ensure the tresses easier to comb.
If you like your natural waves or curls, a scrunching cream, lotion or gel may prove to be the perfect styling product. For the wet look, apply the gel or lotion while the hair is wet and allow it to dry naturally without additional styling. If you want to work against Mother Nature, choose a straightening gel. Applied to hair while dry, it can help tame the most serious kinks and soften the overall look to give you a movie star finish.
Styling long hair depends a great deal on the type of hair involved. For example, straight hair often requires some additional body or volume. To achieve that, begin with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. When it comes to styling products, generally a styling gel, lotion or mousse works best. Those styling products provide control without further weighing down the hair.
Chemically treated, colored, or excessively dry hair can also be a challenge. Choose shampoos that claim to "deposit" or "save" colored treated hair. These will help retain the color longer and keep the color as bright as possible instead of allowing it to fade. Hair that has a lot of split ends or breakage can often be saved with a good repair treatment that both strengthens and hydrates the damaged hair. In particular, look for shampoos, conditioners and styling products that contain keratin. Even an occasional hot-oil treatment could prove beneficial to dry, brittle locks.
No matter the type of hair, however, a couple of drops of silk shine serum or a glossing spray can add just the perfect finishing touch to virtually any hairstyle. These contain shine enhancers that also seal the hair cuticle to prevent static electricity and keep the hair shaft from easy breakage. This type of product is particularly beneficial for hair that has been chemically treated.
Here is a brief summary of the types of styling products typically used today:
  • Anti-Frizz products contain waxes and oils that are specifically designed to coat the hair shaft, allowing it to straighten out and lay flat rather than kink up like a loose wire.
  • Gel is considered one of the most versatile styling products. It can range from light to strong in hold and can be used on a variety of different types of hair from coarse to curly. Those with dry hair will want to avoid gels that contain alcohol since it can cause undue stress on the hair shaft. Spray on gel works best for light holding hairstyles. On the other hand, hand applied gel is perfect for overall distribution, for spot styling and to achieve a medium to strong hold.
  • Hairspray is designed to hold a finished hairstyle in place. It comes in a wide variety of different types of holds that range from light and flexible to extreme. Most hairsprays allow the hair to move but also bounce back into place, keeping the style intact for a long period of time. Most sprays contain some form of plastic polymer in liquid form.
  • Mousseor foam, is the lightest form of styling product and, therefore, the most versatile. It gives light to medium hold, providing some definition, volume and thickness. Most individuals will want to steer clear of mousse that contains alcohol since it can dry out the hair and cause it stress.
  • Pastes are a lighter version of wax and are meant to give hair texture and flexibility as well as shine. The nice thing about pastes is that they can be often to reworked as the day wears on to give you multiple styling options from day to night.
  • Pomades tend to be thick and are usually more natural that pastes, glues, or waxes. They are great for achieving a classy slicked back chignon or an unusual sculpted style. It also often leaves behind a healthy-looking sheen that can't quite be imitated by other styling products. Be aware, though, that pomades can be difficult to wash out of the hair and may require multiple shampoos for that purpose.
  • Root lifts are relatively new styling products that are specifically designed to give support to the hair root. They can be sprayed in or applied by hand just at root level. Once dry, these lifts provide a based upon which any hairstyle can be built.
  • Shines and glosses are sometimes also marked as an "anti-frizz" serum. These are generally silicone-based and are specifically designed to reduce frizz and flyaway hair. Use them cautiously, since too much of a good thing could leave you with oily tresses.
  • Spiking glue is exactly what it sounds like. It glues strands of hair together to create those outrageous punk rock styles that are often popular among the young. But they dry hard and can damage the hair if used too often or for too long a time.
  • Wax is great for doing spot styling. It is usually applied to hair to add texture and separation. It can be used either at the roots or the ends but usually is not applied throughout the entire head of hair. The finish is still stiff and can cause hair breakage and long-term damage if used incorrectly.

Skin Care Tips

Preparing For the Winter Months

Many people think that just because the sun isn't shining down on us as much as it is in the Summer months, that sunblock does not need to be applied during the Winter months. That could not be further from the truth! Sunblock is important no matter what the temperature is. Sunblock not only protects from the violentuv rays of the sun, but it also works to moisturize an protect the skin as well as prevent wrinkle formation.
If there is one thing to apply as you ice skate, downhill ski, go sledding, cross-country skiing, or just spend time outdoors (shoveling snow more like it), it should be sunblock. Immediately after coming back inside, a moisturizer should be applied to the skin. These are two of the best ways to take care of your skin, in a defensive manner, and protect it from the elements such as the cold and wind.
So, tip number one is be sure you have an ample supply of sunblock as well as a good moisturizing cream.
Second, you need to stimulate cellular repair and regrowth. This can be done in a number of ways, with a wide variety of products, so what I'm going to do is list some of the properties and ingredients that I feel are important to keep in mind as you buy skin products.
For starters, a new trend that has been becoming quite popular in the last few years is telomere maintenance. Telomeres are strands of DNA that wear down and become shorter as we age. These days, there are telomere creams that work the skin on a level that aims to restore and replenish the telomeres.
Second, I always like ingredients like squalane, which is derived from olive extract and found naturally in the oils of olives. It's a great anti aging ingredient that once again reaches the cellular level of the skin and works to rejuvenate cells. You can usually find this ingredient in serums. Red and green tea extracts are also becoming quite popular and will work in defense in the winter months.
If you wish to keep your skin looking good throughout the winter, it's important you apply skin products more than usual. This is because the wind, combined with the cold weather, will dry your skin out at a much faster rate than what you are normally accustomed to. If you don't suffer from dry skin all throughout the year, this is one time of year you should pay extra attention to your skin. You don't want to lose out on all the work you've put in throughout the year just because you were lazy during the winter months.
If you follow those winter skin care tips, you should be better off come Spring! Then you can set off and look for that tan you lost during the last few months!

5 Easy Tips To Protect Yourself Against Dry Skin

Our skin can become dry for various reasons. The sebum on the skin can get washed away very fast because of frequent washing of your skin. One of the reasons is that you might be using harsh detergents. The weather may also be playing a part. Dry air will suck the moisture away from our skin. Air conditioners and room heaters are well known to produce dry air and that is one dry skin cause.
When winter comes, the moist, warm weather will soon become dry, cold and harsh. It is a good time to look for a good remedy to combat the dry, chapped, chafed and itchy dry skin. Shielding lotion is now recommended by dermatologists as dry skin treatment. Here are some additional tips that may also help protect you against dry skin.
1. Use sun blocks lotion on sunny days. 15 SPF is usually strong enough, but if you are outdoors for a long time, you need more protection.
2. Although a long, hot bath or shower can feel very comfortable when you are indoors from the cold. However that hot water will cause dry skin just as easily in the winter as the summer. It's also best to use as little soap as possible to avoid washing off protective natural oils.
3. As soon as you get out of the shower, pat dry (rubbing chafes the skin and the towel absorbs too much of the skin's natural oil) and apply a shielding lotion immediately. It can keep the moisture locked in and protect yourself from both the dryness indoors and the harsh elements outdoors. Don't forget about your hands and face.
4. If you're going to be out in the cold for a long time, or you're involved in outdoor sports, you need to prevent overheating and becoming too cold or wet - all of which will cause dry skin. The best way to accomplish all three is to dress in layers of clothes. Silk is best next to our skin. It is good insulation, is soft, lightweight, and allows the skin to breath. It also dries quickly so your skin doesn't chafe from being continually wet. Avoid cotton, it retains moisture.
Wool is moist resistant, and retains its insulating qualities even when it is wet. However, it's not very comfortable right next to the skin. Silk undergarments are readily available in sporting goods stores - pants, tops, and liners for gloves and socks.
5. Use a humidifier if possible. Integrating it into your central heating system is best, but if you have one that's portable, using in the bedroom at night is most effective for preventing dry skin.
Just following the 5 tips above will help you withstand the winter unharmed, and without the cracked, chafed, itchy dry skin that is

What Kind of Perfumes Should I Wear in Winter?

When asking what kind of perfumes should I wear in winter, the real question is which scents will evoke the seasonal fragrances and moods. In the summer, light perfumes always claim to elicit memories of warm days on the beach enjoying the sun and water. The fragrances are fruity or reminiscent of spring and summer flowers.
Winter perfumes, on the other hand, tend to be a bit heavier and evoke images of cool autumn and crisp winter days. Instead of remembering when you were lying on the beach, you think of taking a long walk through fallen leaves or snuggling in a warm coat.
In the winter, most people wear more and heavier clothes. Unlike spring and summer, there’s not as much skin exposed. Perfumes worn in the winter should be able to overcome being mostly covered up with clothing, and that’s one reason the scents tend to be a bit stronger. The musk scent is a great example of a heavier scent more appropriate for winter than for summer.
Winter perfumes have scents that reflect the scents of the holidays and cold winter days also. For example, the scents may have a woody flair or remind the wearer of holiday desserts made with vanilla beans. Winter perfumes are usually sparsely worn so the scent is not overpowering. A winter perfume scent should be a subtle scent that makes the wearer think of sexy warmth.
What kind of perfumes should I wear in winter? When you ask that question, the answer is to wear one that works distinctly for you. The same scent will produce a different result on each person. What smells good on one person may smell entirely different on your body. When choosing a winter perfume scent, select those scents which remind you of the season.
