The Salwar kameezes are popular worldwide and its reputation has reached to every nook and corner of the fashion world. It is also one of the most popular and comfortable dress in the Indian society. The flexibility in the color and the design has added a lot of charm to the salwar kameez. The changing trend also adds elegance to the Indian salwar kameez. Some of such varieties of salwar kameez are the embroidered, the casual, the formal and the latest being Indo western.
The design of the latest Salwar Kameez is symbolic of the changing look in the fashion world. Fashion today has come a long way and now reflects one's personality, choices and attitude.
The designs of Salwar Kameez are also preferred by the younger generation, since it is quite easy to carry at home as well as at work. With the change in time Salwar Kameez has changed from the traditional to the contemporary. The hand embroidered salwar kameez is an outcome of the hard work put by the craftsmen. In this type of Salwar Kameez, the work of embroidery is adorned not only with threads but also with sequins, stars, beads, pearl / moti, soemtimes ghungroo, beautiful laces, semi-precious stones and jewels.
In the machine embroidered Salwar Kameez, the threads compose the most important aspect. These threads are of various colors and fabric like resham, cotton, silk, polyester, silver, gold etc. The machine embroidery although has limitation but it looks much better than that with hand embroidered Salwar Kameez.
The fabric used in a cloth can vary from cotton to silk, from crepes to georgettes and from satins to chiffons. A lot of work is also involved in the embroidery like work with sequins; chikon-kari, kalam- kari work, etc are quite popular among the people. Other embroidery work with zardosi, beadwork, block print and rubber print are also popular among the Indian Ladies.

Patiala Style Salwar kameez suite:
The Patiala Salwar kameez or Patiala has some special significance. Patiala is a city in Punjab in the Northern part of India. In the olden times, the Maharaja of Paliala was quite popular for his dresses. They were mostly pleated baggy pants or salwars that were worn with long loose full sleeve kameez.

Churidar Style Salwar kameez suite:
The Churidar Kameez is not the traditional form of Salwar kameez. It is also not as widely as the traditional Salwar kameez. The churidar has a lot of different cuts and curves than the traditional salwar. The Kameez worn can be of the same length as a normal Indian Salwar kameez.
